THE INDEXKC- JACKSON COUNTY MISSOURI MARKET UPDATE
Weekly KC Metro Market Update
Jackson County is trending right along with the rest of the KC metro this week. Numbers of homes listed are increasing while homes sold have leveled off in the face of rising mortgage interest rates. The balance of supply and demand is tilting in favor of a more balanced market.
The most telling number is the rising number of homes coming back to market (49) and listed homes reducing their prices (197) combine to exceed the total number of new listings ( 206) during the past week….Inventory numbers are rising.
Buyers it’s your time to take advantage of rising inventory and write the offer on your next home. Though mortgage rates have risen, you can look forward to refinancing that purchase as rates fall in the spring. Don’t fall into the trap of waiting until spring to hunt for your dream home OR you’ll do so in the face of springtime competition.
Jackson County sellers….Take care to perform that deferred maintenence your home deserves! Improve your curb appeal, tend to your weekend “to-do” list and take that home to market with a solid multi-channel listing plan.
Our good friends at Jacksongov.org ask “do the ghosts of historic Fort Osage still walk the grounds?” You be the judge! Join us for an exclusive after-hours experience at the historic fort to see if the Fort’s former residents have something to say. Paranormal investigators and Fort Osage staff guide you through the buildings and the fort’s haunted history. Advanced registration is required.
